Processional Bronze Crucifix | 1700s Antique
A RARE large and beautiful French 18th-century antique gilded and silver plated bronze processional crucifix featuring a wonderful Corpus Christi (body of Christ) sculpture. It comes from a monastery in France and dates back to the period of the 1700s (the holding ploe is a later, probably 1800s replacement). This processional cross comes with a bespoke wooden stand. The overall weight with a wooden stand is 19.8 pounds / 9 kg, and without the stand is 10.8 pounds / 4.9 kg.
General: The overall height with the holding pole is 77.6 inches (197 cm). The crucifix's overall dimensions are a height of 28.3 inches (72 cm) and a width of 16.3 inches (41.5 cm). The overall dimensions of the Corpus Christi statue are a height of 9.1 inches (23 cm), a height from the toes to the head of 7.9 inches (20 cm) and a width of 6.9 inches (17.5 cm).
