Memento Mori Wood Carving | 1700s Antique | 10.2" / 26 cm
A RARE baroque - 18th Century wooden Catacombs Memento Mori featuring 10 skulls placed in the niches behind the glass. Every skull is unique - see the different teeth, eye holes, and skull shapes. This Memento Mori comes with a bespoke metal display stand from which it can be easily removed and used for a wall display. It comes from a monastery in the France, and it is dated to 1737.
General: The overall height with the stand is 13.2 inches (33.5 cm). The Memento Mori dimensions are 10.2 inches (26 cm) high, 4.5 inches (11.5 cm) wide, and the metal base is 3.9 inches (10 cm) wide.
Condition: This Memento Mori is in good condition with no damage besides age-related wear. Please see the enclosed images.
