A large and RARE French antique wooden statue depicting the Flagellation of Christ by the Romans during his Passion. Christ standing scourged and bound to the column. The sculpture consists of the Jesus statue, the Column and the base. Dates back to the period of the 1700s. Jesus in his Passion as the "Lord of Patience" with the crown of thorns and scepter reed,

The overall dimensions of the Christ sculpture are a height of 28.7 inches (73 cm), a width of 9.8 inches (25 cm) and a depth of 12.6 inches (32 cm). The Collumn height of 16.9 inches (43 cm), the collumn base 4.1 inches (10.5 cm). The base is 14.2 x 10.2 inches (36 x 26 cm) wide, and height is 1.8 inches (4.5 cm). The weight is 14.1 pounds (6.4 kg).
