A RARE. large and beautiful 18th century (dated on the back to the 1760) - rococo wooden sculpture depicting the Virgin Mary holding Baby Jesus. Outstanding antique woodwork artistry with exceptional polychrome (painting in colour) and gilding and serene facial expressions. Dates back to the 1760s - see the enclosed images.
General: The overall dimensions of the statue are a height of 25.2 inches (64 cm), a width of 16.5 inches (42 cm) and a depth of 5.5 inches (14 cm).
